About Summer Nav
OBOP Summer Nav is a series of 60 minutes rogaines set in local parks and streets.
In a rogaine you try and visit as many controls as you can in the time allowed, in this case 60 minutes. You will receive a clip card when you register and you need to punch in the box which corresponds to the number on the control, proving that you have visited the control.
When you visit registration you will also receive a map which will have the controls marked on it. If you have never done an orienteering event before ask one of the event officials to give you some pointers.
You will be able to start within a time window. You will be responsible for recording your start time and finish time, and we also ask you to tally up your points on the bottom of your clip card before hanging up your clip card on the results line or handing it to the event official.
You can do the rogaine individually, as a family, or with other friends. You can go as easy or hard as you like.
Note no dogs are permitted at any events based or passing through school grounds.
We will also be running an Inter Schools Competition - more details on this below. And note the entry requirements if you are attending with groups of school children.
