About Summer Nav
OBOP Summer Nav is a series of 60 minutes rogaines set in local parks and streets.
In a rogaine you try and visit as many controls as you can in the time allowed, in this case 60 minutes. You will receive a clip card when you register and you punch in the box which corresponds to the number on the control, proving that you have visited the control.
When you register you will also receive a map which will have the controls marked on it. If you have never done an orienteering event before ask one of the event officials to give you some pointers.
You will be able to start within a time window. There will be no mass starts this year with the Covid situation. You will be responsible for recording your start time and finish time, and we also ask you to tally up your points on the bottom of your clip card before hanging up your clip card on the results line or handing it to the event official.
You can do the rogaine individually, as a family, or with other friends. You can go as easy or hard as you like.
We will also be running an Inter Schools Competition - more details on this below. And note the entry requirements if you are attending with groups of school children.

Note we will also be santising the clippers after every event. If people prefer not to use the clippers and clip card when visiting a control that is fine. We will rely on an honesty system when people total up their points.

SCHOOLS ENTRIES
If you are bringing a large school group (5 or more people) you must complete the attached Pre-Entry Form HERE and hand it to the event officials at registration. - You will need to attach copies of the My Vaccine Passes for all the students and support staff to the form.
- We will give you a stash of clip cards to pre-fill and hand out to your students.
- You can purchase a Summer Nav Concession Card at OBOP Members rate if you do a form before the first event and email it to [email protected] with the required My Vaccine Passes. We will then have your Concession Cards available at registration to collect.
