- Fun, friendly and you take it as seriously as you like.

- Spare mapboards available which newbies can use at no extra charge.

- Start and Finish from Whakarewarewa Forest Main MTB car park, Waipa State Mill Road.

With the move to Alert Level 1, and considering our event numbers, we will be running one start window. Timings for all competitors for the event will be as follows:

- Registration from 8.30am. Please come as early as possible.
- Briefing and maps available from 9.30am.
- Start 10am.
- Finish 11.30am.
- There will be no prize giving. Results will be posted on the OBOP website after the event.

- Water and food for race as appropriate.

- ONLINE ENTRIES FOR THIS EVENT ARE NOW CLOSED.
- To guarantee yourself a map, to make your registration process a lot easier, and to support Covid19 protocols, we strongly recommend you pre-enter.
- Online entries will close at midnight on the Thursday before each event.
- There will be a limited number of on-the-day entries available and a $10 On-the-Day fee will be added to all of these entries. We suggest you come early to registration to secure yourself a spot.
- If you do not have your own SportIDENT dibber you will need to hire one at a cost of $5 per individual / team.

Covid19 Protocols
- It has been assumed that we will remain in Alert Level 1 for this event. If the Alert Level changes, we will review these protocols in line with the latest Ministry of Health guidance.
- The protocols of this event have been developed in line with Orienteering NZ Guidance for Covid19.
- The event(s) will only take place at Alert Level 2 or lower. If Alert Levels go any higher the event will be postponed or cancelled.
- Entries - If a competitor pre-enters and the event cannot be run on a later date suitable to the competitor(s), we will provide a credit for a similar OBOP event or refund competitors their entry fee.
- Attendance - No competitors should attend the event if they are unwell or should be self-isolating.
- Contact Tracing - Record of all event participants will be managed through the entry process. Competitors will also be required to sign in and out on the COVID Tracer QR Coder.
- Social Distancing - Competitors should maintain social distancing as much as possible.
- Personal Hygiene - All competitors will be asked to practice good personal hygiene - using the hand sanitizer provider, and sneezing and coughing into their elbows.
- Prize Giving - There will be no prize giving after the event. Competitors are asked to disperse in a reasonable time and not congregate.
- Water - No water will be available.
