SIGN UP TO IMPROVE YOUR ORIENTEERING SKILLS

OBOP is delighted to announce that it will be running a series of 3 coaching sessions during May and June 2023 to help you improve your orienteering skills.

Our members identified training as one of the key activities they would like to see OBOP doing more of.  In response to this demand we are planing a series of coaching sessions to improve your orienteering, navigation, and rogaine skills.  The timings will help you put your new skills to practice in the Autumn O and Night Nav Series, as well as in any Rugged Rogaines you participate in and the 2023 Great Forest Rogaine.
COACHING SESSION APPROACH
  • 3 Saturday afternooon coaching sessions covering different topics.
  • Each coaching session will run for approximatey 3 hours, from 1.30 to 4.30pm.
  • Mixture of theory and putting your skills into practice in the forest.
  • Experts from Orienteering BOP and guests to support the coaching sessions.
  • Sign up to whatever coaching sessions you like.  You must have some familiarity with orienteering or have done Coaching Session 1 before sign up to Coaching Session 2 and/or Coaching Session 3.

  • We will be prioritising coaching for current Orienteering BOP members.  In the case of capacity constraints due to caoch availability and facilities, we will prioritise OBOP members and then on a first in, first served basis.
  • The Coaching Sessions are free for Orienteering BOP members.  You must have renewed your membership for the 2023/24 year.
