Jay Road / The Milky Way - Sunday 11 September 2016
Date: Sunday 11th September, from 9.30am.
Location: Jay Road, 30 minutes south of Rotorua, the map can be found down Jay Road, off SH5. The event will be signposted from the junction of Jay Road with SH5. This is a right turn if heading south from Rotorua.
Format: There will 5 courses where you navigate between the controls in a set order as for a traditional Orienteering event. You are welcome to do it in pairs or teams if you prefer. You can start between 9.30am and 11am, and the courses will close at 1pm.
Other Information: If you are keen for some advice around navigation and orienteering skills, club members will be available from 9.30am on Sunday to offer some advice.
Another great way to get in some training is to assist with control collection after the event, this will take place from 1pm. So bring some lunch, enjoy being out on an awesome farm and gain some navigation skills after the event, all while helping the club.
Entry Fees: Don't forget to bring cash for your entry fees as set out below.
Note all events are enter on the day. If you have a large group please email in advance if possible.
Also there will be a $5 charge for all non-OBOP members to hire a SPORTident dibber (card).
